I am a recent Master’s graduate, specialising in documentary filmmaking, currently based in Berkshire. I am in the midst of trying to break into the industry with aspirations of becoming a self shooting producer and director and I believe this opportunity is the perfect entry point for me and utilises many of the skills I have gained over the years.
I have had some brief stints working as a freelance videographer and editor for London Live prior to the pandemic, helping shoot two documentaries for them, which included rigging camera setups, aiding in conducting interviews and shooting at live music events. I have more recently completed a stint with Future Studios in Bath where I helped them shoot a video review of the Google Pixel 7, which involved shooting at their studios and getting exterior rushes of the phone in use; I then edited the film for them, assembling it, adding graphics and colour grading the piece.
During my postgraduate studies, I showed willingness to push myself outside my comfort zone and work in more administrative and leadership based roles such as Producing and Directing on various documentary projects. Some examples include a promotional film for a beer production and delivery service in Manchester, to the incredible work a church does as a food bank in the city, to my major project which explored the difficulties female DJs and other marginalised groups face in the electronic music scene (an otherwise white male dominated environment); all of which can be found on my website via the link in my CV.
I am hard working, diligent in my duties, easy to get along with and am eager to learn, progress and hone my skills as a filmmaker and think this opportunity would be a great place for me to start. I am also willing to commute or relocate should the opportunity arise.
