I have a passion for Film and Television, along with vast technical knowledge, and so feel I would be an excellent fit for your team.
Firstly, I have experience grading for SDR and HDR in DaVinci Resolve. My Grading and Online Work has been for broadcast masters, as well as short films and music videos in the past. I've also done one micro-budget feature film. My previous role as MCR Technical Manager and my experiences as a Technical Operator have required me to have a thorough understanding of the different elements of picture post-production. This ranges from different methods of: transcoding, QC, delivery and archiving. With regards to delivery and transcoding, these include, but are not limited to: ProRes, DNxHD, DNxHR, AS-11 (DPP and standard), DPX, Open EXR and H.264. I have worked in environments which have exposed me to workflows for both scripted TV programmes, as well as factual/documentary. My experiences have given me a wealth of experience with conform and pregrade workflows, and end of edit exports for both audio and grade/online. I also have an understanding of VFX workflows, and different colour spaces.
I also have to work closely with production/bookings and offline clients, often scrutinising technical aspects of the post production pipeline. I strive to be clear and courteous in my communication with clients, as well as: my department, the online/VFX/Grade department, audio and members of the MCR for which I am responsible. This emphasis on communication has given me the ability to see and understand the whole process from ingest, right through to delivery. I have worked in role which support numerous departments with my technical knowledge, often troubleshooting issues as and when they arise.
