About the role

Roku pioneered streaming to the TV and continues to innovate and lead the industry. Roku is looking for an experienced Business Development Director with a robust understanding of the UK Smart TV market and extensive experience working with the leading CE retail channels in the UK.


This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Consumer Electronics National Account Director or Sales Leader. You will work with Roku’s TV partner brands and UK retailers to manage and expand distribution and sales success for Roku TV in the UK.  Working alongside the Roku Business Development team, you will have an important role in supporting long-term relationships with our TV partners and the formulation of our product and business strategy in the UK.

The right mix of organizational and communication skills is key to success. Attention to detail and a proven ability to manage priorities are also essential. We are looking for people ready to lead by example, be selfless in your leadership across teams, collaborate with your peers, and partner with colleagues and external partners.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with TV OEM brands to develop distribution and sales through the leading UK CE retail channels.
  • Work alongside the Roku TV team to develop strong and long-term relationships with our TV OEM partners in the region to drive sales and new account growth in the UK
  • Work with Roku teams and TV OEM partners to build and then support the go-to-market strategy for new TV brands and product introductions for Roku TV and related future product categories.
  • Be part of the cross-functional team supporting the development of the Roku business in the UK.
  • Regularly analyze and interpret various Roku data sources to identify trends and opportunities which may aid in driving broader Roku KPIs and strategy

We’re excited if you have

  • 10+ years of experience in the Consumer Electronics industry and excellent knowledge of TV and Home Entertainment product technology.
  • Experience working with key industry partners like Digital UK
  • Strong business sense and ability to clearly articulate the value of your product proposition to all levels of management at TV Partners and Retailers
  • Extensive retail execution experience and a deep understanding of associated commercial models
  • Good understanding of the OTT market and the licensed TV OS model
  • Solid career examples that demonstrate sales and market share success across UK retail channels.
