The Role

Part of the EMG / Gravity Media technology team at the new cutting edge broadcast facility in Westworks, White City Responsible for the infrastructure and operations of Audio facilities in Westworks. You must have a great sense of accountability and be able to work well within a team. You will be able to communicate clearly, both written and verbal to technical colleagues and to non-technical partners.


  • Lead role as the onsite Audio SME, providing technical operational support in the planning and delivery of the audio production across the facility.
  • Provide input with regards the audio engineering development of the expanding facility.
  • Full understanding of all audio related client requirements, interpreting those requirements and working alongside the technical teams to ensure a smooth delivery.
  • Communicating all requirements to the internal teams and following up to ensure that all priorities are clear and project milestones for delivery are being met.
  • Creation and delivery of all technical schematic explainers and associated documentation. Management of equipment failure to ensure minimal disruption to transmissions. Undertake general routine maintenance and planned work


To enable you to perform this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following as a minimum:

• A real understanding and extensive knowledge of the audio production process, particularly in a dynamic facility

• Show a comprehensive awareness of existing and developing technologies and how they can be applied to the business

• Experience of TCP/IP networking infrastructure and multi-VLAN networks

• Knowledge and experience of Calrec and RTS systems and integration

• Knowledge and experience of IP-based audio routing and SMPTE-2110 standards

• Be pro-active and able to identify potential issues before they occur

• Work at high levels of technical complexity, under programme and/or operational pressures

• Accept and work to internal business processes including rules and procedures that concern emailed communication, ticketing, auditing, documentation and change processes

• Ability to work both alone and as part of a team, and to remain calm under pressure

• Have a positive, enthusiastic manner with an ability to react tactfully and sympathetically to requests from all stakeholders

• Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
