The Engineer – Software Engineering is responsible for developing, testing and maintaining software applications. This position will also be involved in the design of new products or features as well as troubleshooting existing systems. Additionally, this role may involve working with other departments to ensure that all requirements are met before releasing a product into production environment.
Develops high-quality software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying system flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following industry standards.
Designs user interface screens/reports based on customer specifications using appropriate development tools.
Creates technical documentation such as program code comments and detailed instructions for end users.
Participates in unit tests to identify any issues prior to release.
Troubleshoots application problems reported by customers.
Monitors performance after deployment of an application.
Maintains current knowledge about technology trends related to assigned projects.
