POST PRODUCTION COORDINATOR (MATERNITY COVER)

We are looking for a Post Production Coordinator for our in-house edits, based in Kew, London.

 

This is an office-based role supporting multiple production teams with all elements of their Post, across a wide range of deliverables for clients including UEFA, BBC, C5, Channel 4 and major commercial brands.

 

The Post Production Coordinator is the central point of contact in the edit responsible for liaising with the in-house and freelance Editors, the Head of Post Production, Post Production Managers, Edit Assistants and all the programme editorial teams.

 

The role would suit a highly organised Production Coordinator used to working in a fast-paced environment, working with multiple stakeholders and with the ability to work on their own initiative and know when to refer up.

 

A key part of the role is taking responsibility for running the Edit Schedule and booking all in-house and freelance editors.

 

A knowledge and interest in the Post Production process is essential, but we will consider Production Coordinators who have not specifically worked in Post.

 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide direct administrative support to the production and edit teams
  • Book editors and check availability on behalf of production
  • Assist with scheduling of editors and resources based on editorial and operational requirements; highlight any clashes or gaps in the editing schedule
  • Update and run the online post production schedule and communicate changes to the teams
  • Organise the edit resources effectively and assist with forward planning alongside Production and the Head of Post Production
  • Assist the Head of Post Production with finishing post when using external facilities
  • Assist the Head of Post Production to schedule project delivery and communicate to the team
  • Provide basic reports on edit suite usage for financial/internal recovery reasons
  • Administer the delivery of key materials to Production Management or Broadcasters and highlight issues

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • At least two years in a creative content / production environment in a production facing role.
  • Experience of working in a pressurised environment with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Basic knowledge of the post production and production processes, but further training can be provided
  • The capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships in a diverse team including the ability to manage up and provide positive and effective support to the editorial
  • A proactive attitude to work and promoting a positive work ethic in the team
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and schedules

 

WORKING DAYS:

Monday – Friday office based..

Whisper offers the option of flexitime hours. When weekend work is required, DOILS will be provided.

The position is based at our Kew office in London

Monday July 22nd on a 12 month’s FTC until 25th July 2025
