A Bit About The Role

Partnering with Sales Leaders, the primary responsibility of the Sales Analyst is to provide high quality analytical and commercial support to the regional sales teams. With a Proactive ability to analyze sales pipeline and look for anomalies when creating weekly sales forecasts and comparing the details to annual budgets.

 

Being able to work in fast moving environment and adapt to changing requests, anticipating our business and “making sense” of the numbers behind the sales deals. Focussing on pipeline management and review, SalesForce will be your daily source of information and our system of record.

 

This is a pivotal role providing sales and order analytics and metrics as well as interfacing with Finance, Order Management, Customer Service, and Legal to collate and track sales orders, forecasting and revenue reporting. You also need to be willing to attend customer presentations if needed, so you need to have good interpersonal skills and be confident in delivering presentations around unique sales models which you may be called on to help pull together.

 

 

  • Preparation and updating weekly sales forecast review materials.
  • Identify credit issues on new large orders in advance and work with Credit Management to minimise and resolve issues and disputes.
  • Preparation and updating monthly and quarterly sales forecasts for review.
  • Compile regional sales reports including but not limited to orders, discounting, revenues, margin analysis and cash inflows.
  • Review contract/SOW terms & conditions and identify pricing irregularities or concerns.
  • Identify revenue recognition issues and collaborate with the Revenue Accounting team to resolve.
  • Provide costing and margin analysis to senior leaders as needed.
  • Track order flow information for analysis.

About You

  • An understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics with 3 to 5 years’ experience supporting a Sales Org within a Technology industry
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysing, presenting and communicating both verbal and in written format
  • MBA qualified or strong Sales and/or Finance accounting background including an understanding of Cash Flow
  • Exposure within a Commercial environment
  • Self-directed, results orientated, with a high delivery and service focus.
