Sky Creative is an award winning, highly creative, busy and exciting department. We are an internal Creative agency, supporting the whole business - both the platform and the network of channels, providing creative and design solutions on-air, off-air and for convergent media.  We pride ourselves on the commercial quality of our output across our on-air, off-air and online areas including: channel branding, programme packaging, promotions & commercials. 

What you’ll do

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Advertising Motion Graphics Design Director to lead a team in the development of industry-leading motion graphics and visual effects for our advertising campaigns. As a high-end 3D generalist, we require you to be able to execute all aspects of 3D/CG Motion pipeline (Look-Dev, texturing, animation, lighting and compositing). Have a strong eye for design, composition and colour and experience leading projects from concept through to completion. 

 
You’ll work on Sky’s most important advertising projects to push our motion output to continue to lead market trends, create impact and disruption in our media channels and help the Creative Director build a world class advertising motion team. 
 

Working in the Sky Creative Advertising Design team is an opportunity to help shape award-winning campaigns, leading, inspiring and developing distinctive and exciting motion design to engage our consumers. You will be part of a high-performing specialised team whose work will be seen by millions of customers every day. 

What you’ll bring

• Must use C4D/Redshift/After Effects (knowledge of Houdini a plus) at a high level, along with Adobe Creative Suite. 
• A passion for advertising and an industry-leading knowledge of motion-led media formats. 
• You are on the pulse of industry trends pushing our relevance in markets and media.   
• Extensive professional experience working in motion graphics, with a proportion being in a leadership function.  
• Excellent communication skills with an outstanding design portfolio and a great eye for aesthetics and craft. 
• The proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects. 
• Ability to work with Creative Directors, Designers, Producers and external partners. 
• Strong leadership skills, and an ability to lead projects from conception to completion. 
• Proven experience of managing teams and enjoys developing junior members of the team. 
• Experience working with VFX teams, in both 2D and 3D. 
• Excellent collaboration skills and a strong desire to work in a fast paced company, always looking to produce the best work across all areas.
