What you'll do
- Test out products and provide reports about any issues or improvements that the product may require.
- Understand the architecture of the product being tested.
- Lead the development of well-tested and maintainable python scripts and libraries to test sky products.
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Collaborate with other test leads, software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design and automate tests.
- Assist in the collection and documentation of test requirements, development of sprint tasks, estimates and work plans.
- Contribute to planning, design, and implementation of test automation frameworks using best-practice techniques and principles.
- Switch focus to different projects within the team at short notice.
- Stay up to date with the technical aspects of the project infrastructure (e.g. browsers, databases, languages, etc).
- Validate, analyze and log issues, and provide appropriate feedback.
- Provide technical support to other teams.
What you’ll bring
- Strong Python skills and very good understanding of OOPs concepts.
- Excellent SQL skills.
- Good networking knowledge (network OSI model).
- Experience of continuous integration/deployment .
- Proficient in using defect tracking tools such as Jira, QC etc.
- Experience in leading, coaching, mentoring and up-skilling less experienced automation engineers and testers in the team.
- Problem solver – Analytical approach, with the ability to make the complex simple.
- Attention to detail – Being detail oriented is required as you will test Products to find ways to improve them and isolate problems.
- Communication – Strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errors .

Your office space
Osterley
Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed, and even get pampered at our beauty salon.
