Avid is looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer, with strong business and technical knowledge to build, implement and support both development and production operations. This role will be responsible for governance, maintenance, implementation and monitoring of various technologies as part of the Productivity Technology Group (PTG) team. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver highly available infrastructure which is optimized and secured according to the latest industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- System troubleshooting and problem solving across system, network, and storage infrastructure.
- Governance, monitoring and alerting of corporate infrastructure.
- Automation and scaling of cloud solutions in Azure/AWS/GCP
- Helping implement consistent solutions between operations, development and security. Leveraging DevOps and Infrastructure as Code principals.
- Contribute to internal cloud infrastructure technical initiatives and projects.
- Troubleshoot production system issues and support requests that are escalated from client services ticketing system.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Maintenance, administration, troubleshooting of various systems used for backups, disaster recovery, DNS/DHCP, and server patching management tools.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum 5 years of Systems Engineer experience in system/infrastructure implementation and operations (Windows and/or Linux)
- Minimum 3 years of cloud engineering/computing experience – Azure is preferred, ideally including AWS and GCP
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code utilizing tools such as Terraform, Ansible
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology. Including using Jira for project tracking.
- Container technologies; Kubernetes, Docker
- Cloud networking security, network security groups, segmentations and load balancing
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in large organization
- Experience with shell scripting
- Linux Server / Windows Server + Active Directory
- SSL/TLS certificates
