We are looking for technically minded audio technology professionals who want to join our Poland-based Software Quality Assurance team for Pro Tools full time. As a member of the QA team you will use your audio industry experience, technical skills and curiosity to catch issues throughout the development lifecycle of Pro Tools and related products and verify the quality of our releases.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, isolate, report and track bugs and potential issues that users might encounter using our products.
- Work closely with product designers and software engineers to understand new features, develop and execute test plans, and provide feedback to ensure our products ship with the highest quality possible.
- Draft and design test cases, test grids, and other documents to identify risks and validate new and existing features.
- Assist in validating bugs reported by Beta testers.
- Assist in the writing, revision and editing of technical documentation.
- Find ways to improve test coverage and effectiveness.
- Be an active participant in the Agile process of your team.
- Work daily with team members in European and United States time zones.
Requirements:
- Formal education in audio production, music technology or a similar field, or comparable knowledge gained through experience working in the audio industry.
- Advanced proficiency as well as a technical understanding of studio software and hardware tools including Digital Audio Workstations, plug-ins, I/O devices, synchronization peripherals, and control surfaces. Although Pro Tools-specific experience is highly desired, experience using other DAWs is also welcome!
- Experience using macOS and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with the main factors that can impact a computers performance.
- A unique ability to stay focused and systematically boil down complex issues in order to identify the underlying root cause.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
You would be an ideal candidate if in addition you have some of the following:
- Hands-on experience using Avid Audio hardware products (HDX, MTRX, HD interfaces, SYNC HD, etc).
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Pro Tools systems.
- Have worked as part of an Agile scrum team.
- Familiarity with automated testing concepts, practices and tools.
- Some scripting / programming experience.
