Avid is looking for a talented engineer with an unwavering desire to understand in depth the tech stack used by our music/audio products and have an impact in the future of the music industry by contributing to the modernization and maintenance of the toolchain and infrastructure used to develop the Avid Pro Tools product family.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Passion for creating infrastructure that just works and gets out of the way.
- Intermediate level proficiency in C++, including familiarity with common libraries and frameworks.
- Detailed grasp of the C++ build tool chain on Mac and Windows
- Experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, etc.
- Experience with cross platform build and automation tools such as CMake, and Conan.
- Familiarity with Git tools and workflows.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal English.
- To be successful in this role you must feel comfortable using available resources independently as well as asking colleagues for help when needed.
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Exceptional ability to diagnose issues with various tools in an automated continuous integration environment.
- Ability to design code that is clean, maintainable, reliable, and efficient.
- Experience applying practices to ensure quality, such as unit testing and integration testing.
- Experience using tools such as code analyzers, sanitizers, and profilers.
- Previous experience working as part of a multi-cultural, distributed team.
- Music/Audio domain knowledge or previous experience developing applications in the media industry.
