Our Global Streaming team is the core engine that creates streaming products which delight customers around the world, from sub-Saharan Africa to the streets of New York: we work closely with our design, technology, and business teams to create unforgettable experiences for our customers. We’re the problem solvers who find smarter and simpler ways to connect customers to more of what they love. We are currently building a Global Streaming Product team, who will steer our core global product to service the business needs of each proposition (Peacock, NOW, Sky Showtime and Showmax). As we move to a new era for our platform we seek to bring consistency in our customer’s service & compliance journeys, so that our Product team is able to execute standardised, repeatable integrations to reduce time to market and deliver support faster to our customers.
The Role
We’re seeking a Director of Product Platform Tools to join our Global Streaming Platform (Commerce) team in a newly created role.
Reporting to the SVP Commerce Product, you will lead the platform strategy for publishing tools, Martech and targeting/personalization within our global streaming commerce ecosystem. This role holder will combine strategic vision, technical expertise and leadership skills to develop a set of coherent capabilities that enable delivery of commerce journeys and experiences at a global scale
What you’ll do
Develop a comprehensive strategy for platform tools with a specific focus on publishing tools, Martech and targeting/personalization capabilities.
Oversee the development and optimization of publishing tools that empower content authors and streamline publishing workflows
Lead the development and rollout of global Marketing technologies enabling effective user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Establish a vision for targeting/personalization capabilities that can be consumed at scale to improve commerce journeys. Oversee collaboration with Data Science, Engineering and broader product management organization to bring that vision to fruition.
Define metrics for platform tool effectiveness and identify areas of future opportunity to refine Commerce production operations and improve customer experiences.
Work with Marketing, Data Science and Engineering to evaluate external platform partners.
Provide thought leadership that enables operational excellence and delivery efficiency
Cultivate and lead a team of product leaders and contributors who build endlessly effective foundational capabilities that empower others.
What you'll bring:
Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in technical product management with global senior leadership experience within a large organization focused on platform strategy.
Relevant experience in large global matrixed organizations delivering at least two of publishing, Martech or personalization tools.
Challenges the status quo and implements far-reaching strategic change. A problem solver at heart – capable of identifying gaps and turning them into opportunities.
Proven ability to collaborate across businesses.
