Job Description

As a HR Advisor you will support the VP, Head of HR and wider Operations team in the delivery of a first-class HR advisory services and solutions to ensure a great employee experience. This role will also play a vital role in HR Operations by ensuring the maintenance of all HR information and processes.





Generalist & HR Advice


  • Build effective working relationships with employees at all levels, providing advice and guidance on a range of HR policies and HR related issues to support understanding and ensure effective communication of good HR practice.
  • Support VP, Head of HR in advising and assisting people managers in disciplinary, grievance, probation management, performance management, sickness absence, and flexible working.
  • Manage and conduct exit interviews for mid-level employees and below; collect and consolidate feedback and analyse it for key trends.
  • Counsel and coordinate health and welfare cases including maternity leave and long-term absence.
  • Support VP, Head of HR in projects including but not limited to performance management, employee engagement, recognition programs, and DE&I


HR Administration & Compliance


  • Maintain people databases ensuring they are kept up to date at all times and running reports as needed.
  • Manage all people documentation and files such as: employment contracts and consultancy agreements, job offer letters, addendums, right to work checks, maternity/paternity leave letters, resignation acknowledgements, reference and employment letters.
  • Managing benefits schemes data and administration.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and pension contributions file uploads and checks.
  • Managing all onboarding and offboarding administration
  • Internal HR communications and employee news, anniversaries and celebrations.
  • Taking a leading role in organising company social events and team building initiatives and encouraging employee attendance.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working in HR administration, employee relations, or related area; ideally with some start-up or SME experience.
  • CIPD qualified or working towards certification.
  • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative are a must;
  • Experience of supporting HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in an innovative, changing and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant UK employment law
