Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a VoD Network Executive (FTC) to join the Commercial Team.
In this role you will get to…

  • Plan and curate engaging on-demand offerings for UKTV Play and Pay TV platforms, using available content from catch-up, the archive of classics as well as UKTV Play exclusives 
  • Conceive and execute ideas for collections and stunts on UKTV Play and Pay TV platforms, ensuring all copy and design elements are approved for use. 
  • Offer insightful and meaningful editorial opportunities to UKTV’s Pay & Free TV partners, helping them to grow viewing and deliver value to their subscriber base.  
  • Ensure UKTV Play collections and user notifications are showcasing the best content on offer from UKTV Play, across all platforms and devices. 
  • Manage the content management system entry for UKTV Play, supporting the VoD Network Manager with the editorialisation of the featured rails.   
  • Understand each of the channel’s personalities and identities, working to super-serve their existing audience and bring in new viewers. 
  • Play an integral role in the VoD and Digital team’s testing and rollout of next-gen VoD services, features and system upgrades. 

 Knowledge and skills:

  • Passionate about TV content with a strong editorial judgement, plus an awareness of the VoD landscape and emerging trends. 
  • Experience of working in a broadcast environment or on-demand marketplace or has worked in an administrative role within the creative industries.  
  • A knowledge of UKTV’s channel brands and content. 
  • An ability to precisely manage a large volume of complex and detailed information in a highly process-oriented environment. 
  • Ability to communicate and present at all levels of the business in-person and remotely using video conferencing tools. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments. 
  • Live and embrace UKTV’s values, including D&I and Green.
