Frontend Cloud Developer - Above (All Genders)

Above is a CastLabs associated company, which provides services within the delivery chain of audio-visual content to airlines. In other words, a cloud lab for the Inflight-Entertainment industry.

In collaboration with the major studios and providing solutions for the biggest airlines, at the forefront of creating the next generation of solutions for content delivery. "Above Portal" is a premium cloud portal that is able to handle complex video/audio processing pipelines and deliver based on an integrated order and licensing management.

In order to help us achieve our ambitious goals for Above, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Frontend Cloud Developer. Creating appealing and efficient user interfaces using the latest technologies should be something you are passionate about. A big part of your job would be designing user experiences for our clients, partners and our own operations-team. Mockups, quick prototyping and user-testing should be something that you thrive on. Our international team provides you with fast and solid APIs to rely on and we expect that you will help us create high-end implementations of these features for our end-users. An ownership attitude and active contribution to the discussions and decision-making-progress of the team is something we are valuing highly.

If you have experience deploying to AWS and use their server-less services, all the better. Knowledge in handling video on the frontend-side will be a big advantage for you as well.

Your Tasks

• Build and improve the front-end of applications/features with appealing visual design using ReactJS, Tailwind/CSS based on our design-system
  
  
• Create mockups and prototypes for the suggested solution and rapidly iterate based on feedback from users and the team
  
  
• Ability to create prototypes with Figma (or similar design tools)
  
  
• Create fast and secure data-handling with GraphQL, REST and WS/AWS AppSync
  
  
• Help setting up deployment pipelines for your code with integrated testing
  
  
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  
  
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  
  
• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
  
  

Requirements

• Good development skills as a Frontend Developer using TypeScript, React, Tailwind
  
  
• Experience with creating mockups and documentation based on user-stories and feature descriptions
  
  
• Familiarity with authentication models like oAuth and Cognito
  
  
• In-depth understanding of software engineering cycles, principles, and versioning (gitHub, deployment)
  
  
• Ideally hands-on experience with server-less solutions in AWS to build web applications
  
  
• Experience with streaming technologies is a plus
  
  
• Dedicated and reliable team player with a hands-on attitude
  
  
• Fluent English skills since we are an international team
