Job Description:

Metaphysic is seeking a dynamic and visionary Principal Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in architecting complex back and frontends, coupled with technical leadership experience that includes shaping best practices and driving their adoption.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and deliver complex back and frontends, ensuring high-quality code and system performance.
• Provide technical leadership by shaping best practices and driving their adoption across the development team.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing large-scale systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Utilize extensive knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, and Web & Browser concepts to develop innovative and robust solutions.
• Possess 3+ years of experience with React and 5+ years of experience in developing high-performance micro-service-based backend systems, preferably in Python.
• Work with technologies such as Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and GitHub to build and deploy scalable applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and seamless integration of systems.
• Apply expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code to optimize system performance and scalability.
• Prioritize and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience in Full Stack development with a focus on both frontend and backend technologies.
• Familiarity with VFX industry practices and/or experience as an ML engineer is a significant plus.
• Strong understanding of web performance, security, and best practices.
• Ability to quickly comprehend new products and technologies, with a passion for designing robust and scalable systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
