The Role: Join the Metaphysic team and become a crucial part of our infrastructure crew, shaping and supporting cutting-edge automation experiences, self-service solutions, and top-tier enterprise computing that lies at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a creative and driven Operations Manager with a deep interest in technology and AI to work with the talents in our company to provide smooth operations and continuous service improvement for our hybrid infrastructure while fostering positive relations with stakeholders inside and outside the company.

Your Mission:

• Drive IT systems in our hybrid infrastructure in a robust, secure, and compliant way.
• Steer implementing new tools, optimizations, and automation that make Metaphysic stand out.
• Be the bridge between stakeholders, connecting users, developers, management, and our partners.
• Drive continuous service improvements, identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure network performance together with developers and engineers.
• Help drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation and orchestration.
• Formulate and establish Key Performance Indicators, then actively manage and direct operations per these benchmarks.
• Handle escalation management with all relevant stakeholders, providing rapid and effective solutions to infrastructure challenges.
• Design and run processes including deployment, system administration, monitoring, configuration and change management, security management, capacity planning, availability management, inventory management, supply chain management, and routine update of services.
• Design and run fault prevention and resolution including incident resolution, problem management, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

Must-Haves:

• Proven experience in IT operations management, preferably in a tech-focused company.
• Knowledge of server and network management, security, and compliance standards.
• Understanding of agile principles and DevOps.
• Understanding of software engineering principles.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on user relations.

Bonus Points for:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certifications and courses in server management, network, security, cloud services, Git, and software development.
• Experience in a remote work environment, demonstrating self-sufficiency and discipline.
• A passion for AI and an interest in contributing to ethical, groundbreaking technology.
