Role: Head of Design, Account Mgmt. + Auth + Transactions

Location: Osterley

Global Streaming team is the core engine that creates streaming products which delight customers around the world, from sub-Saharan Africa to the streets of New York: we work closely with our design, technology, and business teams to create unforgettable experiences for our customers. We’re the problem solvers who find smarter and simpler ways to connect customers to more of what they love. We are currently building a Global Streaming Product team, who will steer our core global product to service the business needs of each proposition (Peacock, NOW, Sky Showtime and Showmax). As we move to a new era for our platform we seek to bring consistency in our customer’s service & compliance journeys, so that our Product team is able to execute standardised, repeatable integrations to reduce time to market and deliver support faster to our customers

The role

The Head of Product Design is responsible for leading the product design team and developing innovative designs that meet customer needs. The Head of Product Design will be in charge of managing the entire product design process, from concept to launch. This includes researching user needs, creating prototypes, conducting usability testing, and overseeing production. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of user experience principles and an eye for detail.

What you'll do:

  • Leads the product design team by setting goals and providing guidance on projects.

  • Researches customer needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.

  • Creates wire frames and prototypes to test concepts with users.

  • Conducts usability testing to ensure products are intuitive and easy-to-use.

  • Oversees production processes to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Collaborates with other departments (marketing, engineering) to ensure successful launches.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven track record in designing successful products.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Knowledgeable in UX/UI principles.
