The Role:

As the US Commercial & Label Manager at Moonbug Entertainment, you will be a key contributor to the success of Moonbug Music. Reporting directly to the US Senior Director, Label Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial strategies, managing label relationships, and optimizing revenue streams for Moonbug Entertainment's extensive catalog of music and content. This position requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the music industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Senior Director & the UK based Label Sales Team to develop and execute global strategies & tentpole marketing activations ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Utilize various data streams to inform and proactively seek out ways of growing revenue, audience, and consumption
  • Consistently analyze industry and internal trends & performance, reporting and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with counterparts at all music & social platforms (Spotify, Apple, Amazon, TikTok etc).
  • Drive pitch process with retail accounts to ensure Moonbug’s repertoire receives maximum promotion and exposure
  • Manage US day to day partnership with Moonbug’s distributor, Universal Music Group.
  • Liaise with, and act as the main point of contact with 3rd party labels & partners.
  • Ideate, plan, and execute music marketing campaigns in partnership with internal teams, 3rd party platforms, and agency partners.
  • Track, measure and analyze results of all marketing campaigns, providing reports and recommendations
  • Responsible for the development, execution and promotion of owned & operated playlists and curator profiles.
  • Attend internal meetings and work closely with Moonbug brands, marketing, and other revenue verticals to align the company’s music initiatives with broader company strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Music Business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in label sales, commercial management, or a related role within the music industry (prior Children’s Music experience a plus but not required)
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with partners.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance metrics, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment.
