About the Role
IMAX is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our growing team. You’ll have a strong focus on Japan with additional responsibilities assisting other countries across the APAC region. We’re looking for someone who can help support the Exhibitor, Brand, and Film Marketing side of IMAX’s business, working collaboratively with IMAX’s studio partners and exhibitors as the brand custodian and ambassador of the company.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and maintain senior relationships with exhibitor partners and other external stakeholders to establish opportunities for IMAX brand integration
Provide brand marketing and theatre launch guidelines, deliverables, toolkits, and consultation to IMAX exhibitor partners as assigned, with a focus on key partners across assigned territories
Identify and develop programs that will contribute to IMAX brand growth, i.e. up-selling programs, tactical film marketing promotions, PR tool kits and media events etc
Act as the local IMAX brand marketing ambassador, ensuring constant IMAX brand marketing communication
Collaborate, communicate, track, and manage IMAX theatre launches to the highest degree of success with assigned exhibitor partners, existing and new
Track and monitor budgets for new theatre launches and annual/sustaining marketing campaigns for specific partnerships
Develop and maintain senior relationships with local studio marketing and distribution counterparts to ensure integration of IMAX messaging in studio-led film marketing campaigns
Develop best in class, IMAX-centric, film marketing campaigns in collaboration with local studio offices
What You’ll Need:
6+ years’ marketing experience, ideally in an account management capacity in the theatrical or home entertainment industry or relevant peripheral industries
Fluency in English & Japanese is essential
Proficient in computer software, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and will need to be willing to learn possible developing operating platforms and delivery systems that support marketing.
