Job Description:

About the Role

IMAX is looking for an exceptional Senior Sales Director to take a key position as part of our growing sales team, focusing principally on driving new business in North America, with some more limited responsibility for driving new business in Central and South America. We’re looking for someone with a strong track record of exceeding revenue goals in a consultative sales role selling video technology solutions to large video publishers such as studios, broadcasters, OTT services, MVPDs and VMVPDs.

You’ll ideally have experience and success in driving new business within the major North American video distributors, including the major cable, satellite and telco operators, and their streaming businesses. Our high performers understand digital media video workflows (i.e., encoding, transcoding, delivery and playback) and are adept at selling into senior decision makers of media, entertainment and sports technology, product and/or media operations teams. You’ll understand the discipline of sales processes including deal qualification, staging and accurate forecasting.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage the overall sales process and required internal and external coordination

  • Actively develop sales opportunities, manage customer interactions, communications, trials, and Salesforce reports

  • Develop new customer interactions, either directly or through reseller partners

  • Work closely with our Solutions Architects during pre-sales to scope and deliver customer requirements

  • Communicate and maintain relationships with our existing customer base and new logo targets

  • Maintain appropriate metrics for sales’ funnel management in Salesforce

  • Develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base

  • Become a trusted advisor to stakeholders; build, manage and grow relationships across multiple departments at video streaming companies for continued value-creation and increased revenue

  • Effectively manage the business as it relates to ongoing sales activity including pipeline forecasting, organizational mapping, contracts, proposals, and legal

What You’ll Need:

  • 8+ years of direct B2B sales experience in a comparable industry, with media & entertainment industry experience strongly preferred

  • Ability to travel (50% or less)

  • Experience taking deals through the sales cycle from engaging customers to closure

  • Experience in selling high-value products or services in a start-up and scale-up environment into senior levels of these organizations

  • Experience with marketing and sales software applications; preferably with Salesforce

  • Proven track record of success driving new logos, upsells and building deep relationships at the C-Suite, SVP and VP levels across an enterprise organization

Nice to Have:

  • Direct experience selling into distributors (MVPDs, VMVPDs, Satellite and Telco operators) is a plus 

  • Organized, consultative, self-motivated, and can mobilize internal teams to produce results

  • Additional languages are a strong asset, especially Spanish and Portuguese

  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels

136,151.00 - 180,000.00
