What You'll Do:

  • Support the Head of Group Benefits to shape the strategy for employee benefits across our European markets by continually reviewing the market, proposing and implementing new ideas and engaging Sky’s people.
  • Handle the governance of our Group health and risk plans including our Trust-based Healthcare Plan in the UK, one of the largest of its kind, and core risk benefits including Income Protection, creating data insights to support holistic wellbeing strategy.
  • Be the key Company representative to our Comcast benefits governance oversight committees.
  • Ensure that Risk insurances, all-employee savings plans (including International Sharesave) and financial education programmes are effectively designed and delivered to enhance the financial wellbeing of our members and to protect Sky from risk.
  • Ensure that our Healthcare Plans and voluntary benefits are effectively designed and delivered to meet the needs of Group Total Health strategy.
  • Become a trusted expert to the business in the benefits field and partner effectively with a range of internal stakeholders including DEI, Policy, Tax and Communications.
  • Take a commercial approach to handling external brokers and benefits providers ensuring the best value for money and adherence to budget.
  • Work closely with Group People Services to develop the model for delivery of the pensions and benefits strategy via our external supplier platforms, provide technical expertise for urgent issues, critical cyclical compliance and employee experience as well as continuous process and control improvement.
  • Be accountable for ensuring benefits annual cycle, communications and change programmes are effectively delivered in partnership with Group People Services.
  • Be passionate about doing the right thing for our people and investing Sky’s resources impactfully.
  • Have strong project management skills and workload prioritisation to lead change programmes (eg risk benefits reviews and change, changes to legislation impacting benefits.)

What You'll Bring:

  • Ability to confidently communicate Sky Benefits to Sky people and a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience of Employee benefits Plans covering physical, emotional and financial wellbeing with background in an in-house role at a large organisation or consulting firm.
  • An analytical and strategic approach having developed, implemented and operated employee benefits plans across multiple territories.
  • The ability to process a lot of detail, get to the right answer quickly and ensure processes are robust.
  • Excellent IT skills including benefits and HRIS platforms (eg Darwin and Workday), Excel and Powepoint.
  • Sound working knowledge of the legal framework of employee benefits in the UK, Ireland and our European markets and the ability to critically evaluate external advice.
  • An enquiring mind and a flexible approach to adapt to a fast-paced environment, create clarity where there is a ambiguity and balance pace with getting the right answer.
  • Experience of all-employee share plans and relevant reward qualifications desirable.
