Design, Develop, document, and implement a PaaS solution, DNS infrastructure and to onboard and integrate vendor provided or requested applications with Sky’s telecommunications infrastructure.
Manage DNS servers, Configure DNS Zone, Monitor DNS performance, Ensure DNS security, reliability, and availability of DNS infrastructure.
Be responsible for the engineering, support of production environments, lifecycle management including automation of patches, upgrades, reliability, performance improvements, SLO, SLA and KPI.
Develop assurance, monitoring, and management capabilities for PaaS infrastructure using Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack. Supervise and manage Linux VMs, Containers, and applications.
Handle the operational playbook for the PaaS infrastructure, the services running within it and creation of automated reports for various services and PaaS infrastructure
Strong experience in deploying and managing DNS servers, Authoritative DNS service design / deployment, PowerDNS, iVinylDNS, CoreDNS, BIND, Replication of Secondary DNS, AXFR Query etc
Experience in automating the configuration and management of large-scale platforms: Linux, Git, any scripting language like Python, Bash etc
Experience working with OpenStack, VM, Linux boxes (Ubuntu)
Experience in database deployment and management (SQL, NoSQL). Eg Couchbase, PostgreSQL
Experience with automation/orchestration with tools such as Ansible and Terraform and knowledge on web servers like NGINX or Apache etc
Experience of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
