The Product Design Team is a collective of talented experience designers (UX and UI), Creative Technologists, User Researchers and Copyrwriters. It is a truly international team shaping the future of video streaming experiences on web, mobile and TV whilst also designing engaging websites and apps.
This is a global role and is key for the success and growth of the team. As the team grows this role will grow with it and it will be key for maintaining a positive culture for creativity.
If the VP of Design is the right-brain you are the left and together you run a world class design and innovation studio. Your role is critical for introducing and implementing best practices and design innovative ways of working that promote creativity. You are running the team like an inhouse studio and you are key in translating the vision and make it reality. You will work in close collaboration with the team Design Leads, PM’s and TPMs to ensure that the teams are working efficiently and communicate effectively.
Every design project will at some point pass under your nose, from user interface development to content pitches, from proposition designs to strategic presentations. You will be working with designers, copywriters, user researchers, technologists, product and tech managers, strategists and marketeers, across cities and continents and will play a fundamental role in raising the team’s profile internally and externally.
YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS
- Design strategies to execute against the vision of the Product Design team
- Implement design processes to accelerate the speed of delivery
- Manage day to day team operations. Plan/schedule work, integrate UX/product design team workflows with all other team delivery processes, document learnings and share them throughout the organization
- Continuously improve and further integrate design, agile, lean processes with the rest of the organization to deliver at speed
- Keep each other accountable by designing an innovative, world leading performance management system, using design KPIs for design teams - deliberately designed to enhance creativity, not stifle it
- Build and develop global external product, design and innovation partnerships by connecting to the wider mediatech industry, hold events, meetups and presentations showcasing the team's work internally and externally
- Use world-leading community management strategies to build a creative design and innovation community and connect that community with each other and the rest of the world
