Job Title: Freelance Project and Production Manager, 4Studio Department: Ad Sales Location: London Employment Type: Freelance – Interim role until September 2021.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION 4 Studio is Channel 4’s new digital content studio specialising in creating and distributing content to 18-34’s on Channel 4’s social channels. The 4Studio commercial team sit in Ad Sales and are responsible for all branded content campaigns on Channel 4’s social platforms. Commercial revenues are driven by social branded entertainment, social sponsorships, social spin offs, linear AFP extensions and exploiting other, new revenue streams.
JOB PURPOSE Working closely with the Group Content Managers (GCMs), Strategists, Commissioners, 4Studio, Production Companies and Clients the Project and Production Manager will be responsible for managing 4Studio commercial projects from sign off to delivery .
Responsible for project managing social branded entertainment and social sponsorship campaigns from point of sale through to delivery and PCA.
Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of all campaigns.
As the main point of contact from sign off, act as the go-between between client/agency, production company and Channel 4.
Be able to balance being flexible to client needs and enforcing Channel 4’s positioning .
Own and manage 4Studio commercial campaign project timelines and ensure all stakeholders adhere to them.
Liaise with the following internal stakeholders when delivering branded entertainment campaigns – sales, commissioning, compliance, legal, finance, research, social, PR and 4Studio production.
Liaise with the following stakeholders when delivering social sponsorship campaigns – sales, social and any external agencies for asset creation/design.
Responsible for the final checking of all content before going live.
Ensure the C4 Social Media Guidelines are adhered to for all campaigns.
Ensure the 4Studio post-sale process is followed and provide feedback to the Commercial Lead if it needs to evolve.
Receive and manage client Feedback on edits and share with GCM’s and Commissioning editors identifying any compliance/branding and editorial issues.
Work with C4 Marketing, Social and PR depts to ensure C4 support and promotion of Branded Entertainment to the highest level.
Discuss promo priorities with Marketing team, supply necessary brand assets and co-ordinate sign off.
Develop internal processes to ensure smooth delivery of branded content.
Handle Press & PR requests alongside the Commercial Lead.
Manage difficult conversations and conflicting stakeholder priorities.
Project management of linear AFP and other 4Sales campaigns when required.
Essential experience and skills
At least 2 years previous experience of project managing video branded content campaigns on social with multiple stakeholders.
Previous project management experience for a media owner / publisher preferred.
Must have experience of working with media agencies on branded content campaigns.
Have an excellent understanding of digital media video production.
Have a sound grasp of video and digital technical specifications and language to ensure clear communication between all parties.
Experience of working with and/or understanding of Ofcom, ASA and CAP regulations.
Clearcast experience a plus.
Proven attention to detail and strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
Very strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness and ability to adapt and be flexible as required when managing projects.
