Job Description

As a (Senior) Service Technician Broadcast in our Service & Support business unit, you will support our customers directly on site or remotely and thus ensure the smooth business operation of all relevant media, broadcast and IT systems. The implementation of technical trainings at the customer's site is also one of your tasks. In addition, you will support our team in the preparation of technically demanding tenders. Field of activity - international and dynamic:

  • System- and technical support of national and international system installations of our customers from the TV and media sector
  • On-site service, remote service, telephone and e-mail support, professional service, patch/update/upgrade service (system development)
  • Installation, integration, commissioning and maintenance of AV and IT systems
  • Technical onboarding and training of customers
  • Support in the technical preparation of complex tenders and offers
  • Supporting the sales department in customer consultations and project meetings
  • Technical commissioning of AV and IT components as well as problem identification and elimination
  • Carrying out acceptance tests and supporting on-air processes

Your profile - structured and hands-on:

  • Degree or professional training in the field of computer science, media design, media design or comparable, preferably with a focus on technical production or online media/new media
  • Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in technical service and support welcome
  • Understanding of modern broadcast IT concepts and the necessary interfaces
  • Very good knowledge of non-linear editing and post-production processes
  • Very good knowledge of Avid and Adobe products for audio/video productions
  • Good knowledge of operating systems (servers & workstations), network technology and virtualisation (e.g. VM Ware)
  • Knowledge of storage technologies, database technology and asset management, as well as their infrastructures, streaming and video formats is helpful
  • Desirable certifications: Avid ACSR (Certified Support Representative), Cisco CCNA or MS SQL.
