What You’ll Do:

IMG Studios is a premier production centre with state-of-the art studios, post-production and live operations facilities.  It houses 4 HD broadcast television studios, 9 production galleries, 3 dubbing suites, 50 edit destinations, 3 radio studios, an award-winning 3D Graphics & Visual Effects team, and one of the largest data centres built specifically for digital media and broadcast in recent times. The Master Control Room includes 5 transmission suites and monitors over 200 HD lines in & out of the building. With its own satellite farm and direct links to many of the leading sports stadia in the UK, IMG Studios is at the centre of sports and entertainment production and distribution.

We have an exciting opportunity for a EVS & Replay Services Guarantee to join our IMG Studios business. You will support IMG Studios Teams and IMG Studios Clients in providing successful replay services for all productions in Studios and Live Galleries.

Working with the Studio Resources Managers, Production Services, MCR and Engineering teams, the role will provide planning, administration, crewing assistance, engineering advice and operational support for replay systems requirements within studio productions at Stockley Park. Our current replay systems at IMG are EVS, Dream Catcher and Simply Live.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

• Manage and administer replay machines and content management software allocations and hires, in co-ordination with Tech Services and MCR.
• Advise on operation of replay machine requirements within client workflows.
• Assist with production planning.
• Assist with booking of freelance replay operators.
• Rigging and de-rigging of replay set-ups in Production Control Rooms and Live Galleries, in co-ordination with the Studio Technical Manager and Engineering.
• Oversee replay operations during production, working with the Studio Technical Manager, ensuring smooth operation and workflow.
• Providing solutions to replay issues and assisting with kit and software updates and maintenance.
• Assist the company in the development and testing of new equipment and technologies.
• Back-up operation of replay systems for live productions if required.
• Supporting freelance replay operators, offering operating support and local knowledge.
• Willingness to mentor and train MSOs and other staff members.
• Manage archiving of material and clear-down of EVS or Dreamcatcher machines, in co-ordination with Archiving and Media services.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with production teams, studio crew and IMG colleagues.
• Comply with all IMG studio Health and Safety policies, promoting a positive safety culture in all areas at IMG Studios.

You Will Have The Following Strengths:

• Typically, 5 years replay operation and content management software experience in live sport production, either studios or OBs.
• Previous experience as a replay Engineer, VT Guarantee, Lead Operator or Supervisor.
• Excellent knowledge of EVS replay systems and IPD.
• Experience of working in remote production and VR studios.
• Media management knowledge and experience, including workflow design and archiving media.
• Experience of booking crew.
• Knowledge of SDI and/or IP Broadcast video systems.
• Knowledge of video and audio routing systems.
• Flexible approach to problem solving and openness to new challenges and alternative solutions.
• Ability to create and edit packages within a live environment.
• BNCS routing operation experience and knowledge.
• Thorough understanding of the TV production process, workflows and broadcast standards.
• Knowledge of Dream Catcher and Simply Live replay system and operation is a plus.
• Editing knowledge and experience of operating post-production systems, such as AVID or Premier is also a plus.

• This role will involve weekend work and working unsociable hours.
