The Assistant Accountant reports to the Financial Controller and supports the Endeavor Streaming finance team, both in the UK and US, and collaborates closely with the shared service center and other internal stakeholders.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE & CREDIT CONTROL
Support Finance Manager with the preparation and submission of recurring and ad-hoc invoice requests to the shared service center
Submit invoices to clients
Apply payments to client accounts
Support Finance Manager with client on-boarding process
Monitor AR mailbox and respond to question & resolve queries
Circulate periodic client account statements
Perform credit control activities, which includes monitoring ageing of invoices, sending chasers, making telephone calls, and escalating to the Commercial team where required
ACCCOUNTS PAYABLE
Monitor AP mailbox; code vendor invoices & submit to share service center for processing, chase approvals, respond to questions & resolve queries
Update and maintain AP tracker
Own and update weekly cashflow file to obtain payment approvals
Liaise with the Treasury team to ensure all payments are made on time
Support business with vendor on-boarding process and vendor detail changes
MONTH-END ACTIVITIES
Support the Finance Manager / Senior Accountant / Financial Controller with a variety of month-end activities;
Performing variance analysis and posting accruals
Preparation of specific month-end reports to be shared with FP&A team
Download statements from payment processors & record receipts
Calculate and distribute FX rates
You Have These:
Degree in accounting or studying towards a professional qualification such as ACCA / CIMA
Experience with SAP and Netsuite highly desirable
Experience working in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
Demonstrable experience in a similar role
Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
Strong track record in delivering to tight deadlines
Solution orientated attitude and ‘can-do’ spirit
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, great follow-through, effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize, respond to pressure
Working Conditions:
· Permanent, London - City Road Offices
· Working hours are: 35hrs
· Working days are: Mon-Fri
