We have an exciting opportunity for a Midweight Creative to join the Creative team.
We are looking for a highly-ambitious and driven midweight creative to join us at UKTV. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an award-winning team, and work on 360 campaigns, as well as commercial and charity partnerships, promos, OOH and print.
In this role you will get to:
Come up with innovative and effective ideas for some of the most exciting shows and brands in TV.
You’ll also get to write fresh, arresting copy, creatively edit your own work, direct originated projects of varying scales and collaborate with some of the best designers, online editors, audio engineers and voiceover artists in the business.
You will also have the opportunity to conceive and contribute ideas to 360 campaigns as well as present and pitch them to internal stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who has:
The successful candidate must have at least 2/3 years Creative experience in Broadcast Promotions or Advertising. You will be a strong ideas person capable of conceptual thinking and will have a proven track record in creating multi-platform advertising campaigns. You will also possess first-rate copywriting/art direction skills and be confident at writing and presenting creative treatments.
You will work on generating creative across a mix of diverse channel brands. Your work will vary from integrated campaigns working on OOH and Paid Social Media campaigns, to ingenious low-budget solutions or content-based on-air promos.
Excellent video editing skills are essential as well as a comprehensive knowledge of digital and social advertising trends.
What you will do:
- To consistently generate fresh, original and brand-defining work, executed with programme, originated and design content.
- Have experience of creating VOD and Social media campaigns
- Working into the Creative Manager and liaising with channel Marketers, to ensure that all work is delivered on brief and adheres to the channels brand guidelines but at the same time stands out and engages the target audience
- Demonstrates an understanding of the different channel brands, content, target consumers, and growth strategies; ensuring that creative work fits the task in hand
- Considers target audiences, campaign objectives and commercial targets when formulating creative responses, in order to maximise ratings.
- To ensure consistent creative standards and approaches across the channel brands, e.g. consistent personality, tone of voice, and executional attributes for on-air promotions
- Works effectively with colleagues at all levels and fosters strong working relationships within the team and across the company as a whole.
- Capable of effectively negotiating challenging and difficult creative discussions in a positive and constructive way.
- To be a role model within the Creative department and business at large, living and embracing UKTV’s values, collaborating with colleagues and championing “best practise” approaches across all creative areas.
- Is well-organised and successfully juggles multiple projects, prioritising across several channels.
- Develops new, innovative and creative solutions to business and departmental challenges.
- Takes the initiative to propose and ‘own’ solutions; involving and aligning other stakeholders in a timely fashion.
- Maintains a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy, taking the initiative and operating independently against agreed objectives; involving stakeholders accordingly.
- Takes a savvy approach maximising UKTV’s budgets and resources.
- Has an understanding of market rates / costs (creative services) and production techniques / capabilities to ensure work presented is achievable within campaign budget.
- Proactively responds to campaign and channel performance, identifying issues and opportunities, and driving change.
- Has a good understanding of UKTV’s strategy and how this role contributes to it.
- Directly impacts the audience by creating promos which drive viewers to our content.
- Ensures that UKTV Creative is a key enabler in realising key business, brand and marketing objectives.
- Ensures that all creative work is underpinned by a fertile and strategically-relevant creative idea.
- Ensures that all executional work remains true to the creative idea and brand identity, and is consistent across all on and off-air mediums.
