PLEASE NOTE: These internships are only available for 2nd and Final Year students, please ONLY apply if you fall into these categories. Any applications from outside of these requirements will not be considered. Thank You.
RaceTech are offering undergraduates from Technical/Production/Broadcast type courses, in their penultimate or final year of study, a 2 or 3 month internship across Camera Assistant and Broadcast Engineering roles, offered as a fully paid Fixed Term Contract. The aim of these internships are to give students the opportunity to experience these roles in real time, with the aim to then join RaceTech in a Trainee position, after students graduate. There is no obligation to join after graduation however, if you succeed in the internship, it is highly likely a position will be held for you upon graduating. These internships can be worked around your studies or through the summer, please see individual role details below:
Camera Assistant:
A 2 or 3 month Fixed Term Contract with the choice to work at any of the RaceTech facility locations; London, Lingfield, CCR, Warwick, Leicester, York, or Newcastle.
Please specify in your application if you would like to apply for the 2 or 3 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities include:
Basic camera coverage on paddock position, camera minding, basic camera rigging/de-rigging, assisting photo-finish set-up, production runner at larger events, truck maintenance, equipment maintenance and loading/unloading equipment on site. This will work well if internships are organised during the summer months, as this opens opportunities to work at larger racing fixtures, but it’s no issue if some students are looking for opportunities earlier or later in the year.
Trainee Broadcast Engineer:
3 month Fixed Term Contract aimed at students with a technical mindset who want hands-on experience within a Broadcast Engineering role. Students will recieve an overview in Sound Engineering, Vision Engineering, and general Outside Broadcast Engineering processes, as it relates to RaceTech's unique operation.
If either of these roles are of interest to you, please apply via the link below with your CV and a short cover letter explaining why you would like to be considered by RaceTech. We will then get back to you with next steps in the application process. Any questions, please direct to Lizzy@BroadcastJobs.com .
Thank You and we look forward to hearing from you!
