We have an exciting opportunity for a PA to Programming & Compliance to work with both the Programming & Compliance teams. 

We are two busy departments covering a wide range of activities that drive the editorial on the UKTV linear channels and looking at and assessing content’s suitability to transmit on numerous international and UK services against a range of regulations.  
 
They are great friendly teams who work with all parts of the business, and you will have that opportunity too.  
 
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will provide excellent support for a number of our compliance and Programming Leadership Team, as well as manage a Team Assistant

In this role you will get to: 
  • Provide first class support to 6 senior leaders at UKTV
  • Manage, develop and motivate a Team Assistant
  • Contribute to team culture by organising events and training sessions 

We are looking for someone who has:
  • Experience at providing proactive PA support at a senior level
  • Experience of people management
  • The ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities  

Who you are:
  • Experienced in providing PA support at a senior level, in large and complex team structures; dealing at times with highly sensitive & confidential information. 
  • Experience of line management and delegation 
  • Proactive and confident; willing to speak candidly and constructively challenge. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly and concisely with people at all levels across the business internally and externally. 
  • Strong, demonstrable administration and IT skills with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft packages and an advanced understanding of MS Outlook. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments and services. 
  • Inspires trust & confidence amongst colleagues. 
  • Demonstrates an awareness of the various business sensitivities and reflects this in their approach to problems and issues that arise. 
  • Proactive and flexible; comfortable working in a dynamic business environment with constantly changing priorities. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy and a highly conscientious approach to work. 
  • Effective time management and organisational skills. The ability to prioritise and plan for self and others.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide first class support to the Chief Programming Officer UKTV & Global Director of Content Compliance UKTV & BBC Studios, Global Head of Content Compliance, BBCS/ UKTV & Channel Directors (4) UKTV 
  • Have complete responsibility for efficient diary management, ensuring the effective juggling of commitments & priorities. 
  • Is a vital point of contact and a key liaison & conduit of information between the CPO, Head of Compliance, Channel Directors and other senior leaders / managers and members of the team and external contacts. 
  • To work in close partnership with the other PA’s across UKTV and Studios where necessary to help co-ordinate activity across the business and ensure a common culture and way of working. 
  • To be a key confident in confidential matters 
  • Attend and play a proactive role in the Global Compliance Team forums and Programming Team forums, assisting in managing relevant meetings; including capturing & circulating key actions & decisions 
  • Organise all meetings both internally and externally and in particular working with the CPO to set and organise current and future agendas for the UKTV Editorial board, taking and circulating minutes and actions, Helping run these, and other, meetings, organising guests, circulating agendas, diary management ensuring key attendees are present, and helping prep necessary and relevant documents and papers. 
  • Arrange travel where necessary, including overseas travel
