Based in our Watford office, the Engineering Administrator will assist our Technical departments with the ordering of supplies, updating records and the booking and planning of repairs.
The Engineering Administrator will take on a variety of roles to support Engineering, Systems Integration and Workshop with such tasks as procurement, maintaining , arranging repairs and keeping records up to date.
Responsibilities:
• Procurement:
o Negotiating price
o Raising purchase orders
o Placing orders o Tracking orders
o Acceptance of orders
• Budgeting:
o Tracking costs
o Maintaining Systems Integration project budgets
• Workshop:
o Raising RMAs
o Updating repair status within asset management database
o Tracking outsourced repairs and expediting repairs where necessary
• Stock Control:
o Systems Integration cable & consumables
o Workshop spares o General technical consumables
• Freelance Wireman:
o Bookings
o Administrate timesheets
o Issue purchase orders
o Track costs
H&S:
Adhering to our company H&S policy and ensuring that all company risk assessments are observed where applicable to your role, taking ownership of improvements and escalating concerns where necessary.
ISO:
Contribute to the continual improvement of our management systems to ensure compliance with our legal obligations and maintain certification.
Qualifications:
No specific qualifications are required, but the candidate should be fully computer literate and be able to interpret spreadsheet data and, if necessary, edit and feedback to their Line Manager any errors, changes, or improvements.
Competencies:
DESIRABLE
Familiar with InspHire Stock Control program useful but not essential.
Experience:
• Preferable to have previous experience asset management and/or stock control systems.
• Priority management and organisational skills.
•Analytical and logical approach to problem solving.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel level.
