Post Producer

Founded in 2004, Doghouse Post is an independently owned facility which enjoys an outstanding reputation within the Bristol post community, we provide full picture and sound post production and visual effects services. Our ethos has always been to provide a friendly environment with bespoke creative and technical solutions tailored to each individual client.

The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and supportive Post Producer to join our team, managing post on a variety of genres with varied deliverables. The ability to determine a brief and build strong relationships with our existing clients is imperative whilst supervising and co-ordinating projects as they progress through our facility. This role is full-time and office based.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and post produce projects to ensure the smooth and optimum use of resources
  • Raise quotes, pitching and negotiating project pricing with prospective clients
  • To understand and interpret client briefs
  • Maintain good relationships, communication and support our operators/staff at all stages of to ensure smooth running of the schedule
  • Attend industry events to socialise with industry peers

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A firm understanding of post workflows, particularly colour grading, online, and editing codec workflows and sound design
  • A good understanding of technical specifications and deliverables.  Experience of delivery to Streaming Platforms preferable
  • Good numeracy, literacy and writing skills. 
  • High level of motivation with a positive, supportive, friendly, and outgoing attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, prospective clients, and other team members
  • Self-starter attitude, strong initiative and ability to maintain and ameliorate systems
