We have an exciting opportunity for a AWS Senior Developer to join the Technology team.
The Technology and Infrastructure team is responsible for delivering first class technical solutions to the business. The team members are proactive, responsive business enablers that deliver competitive advantage by choosing, implementing, and supporting the use of information technology.
They take ownership of delivering the day-to-day workload, as well as exciting transformative projects. They are a delivery-focused team and have great relationships with internal teams and 3rd party suppliers. The UKTV technology team are geographically dispersed with bases in Leeds and the HQ in Hammersmith, London.

In this role you will get to:
- Experience and contribute to the UKTV creative culture, working with a diverse and talented team, delivering innovative cloud native systems that run UKTV’s media supply chain.
- Have unrivalled access to dedicated technical resources at key partners such as AWS and Datadog. Receive individually tailored training based on your personal objectives delivered directly by the vendors, that build to industry-recognised qualifications.
- Work with best of breed systems and tooling, on a tech stack that has been designed from the ground up to run IaC with best practice principles at its core.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Is a hands-on developer who is passionate about developing scalable, highly available application solutions that leverage AWS services for Broadcast Media applications.
- Has solid commercial application development experience (JavaScript/NodeJS)
- Has hands-on experience developing and deploying business software
- Has experience with building application against AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Fargate/EKS etc.
- Has experience with continuous integration tools (BitBucket/Gitlab/Github)
- Has strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
- Has hands on familiarity with automated deployment such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform
