What we need!

Our QC & Mastering Manager will be responsible for co-ordinating the daily traffic of all finished programme content through the QC and mastering processes, resulting in timely delivery to designated platforms.

What we need you to do!

Logistics:

• Overseeing management and distribution of all QC & mastering work via ScheduALL, including scheduling and allocating resources and being pro-active to changes
• Flagging and managing any workflow, technical or logistical issues that will impact delivery and escalating to Engineering & Production where appropriate
• Ensuring high standards are being upheld so that work is being delivered correctly and on-time
• Being a point-of-contact for delivery platforms and key stakeholders in the delivery chain
• Managing the teams day to day shifts, annual and sick leave allocation of staff

Line management responsibilities:

• Undertaking line management responsibilities for the department Operators including providing pastoral care and support to your team and acting as a first point of contact for work or personal issues.
• Delivering annual performance reviews, with support from HOO and HR
• Participating in recruitment, from advertising to interviews, with support from HOO
• Engaging in disciplinary action, or performance improvement processes, where needed, with the support of HOO and HR
• Identifying individual and team strengths and deficiencies, with support from HR & HOO, to identify and deliver training needs

Documentation, Communication & Workflow

• In conjunction with the HOO & TOM documenting workflows/processes and any other pertinent information for the department and Production team
• Attending workflow meetings with Production and Sales, and clients where required/appropriate
• Reading handovers & actioning any subsequent work or follow ups
• Being a liaison between and support for Operations and other departments, e.g. Production.
• Managing & updating templates as required on AQC software such as Aurora, Vidchecker & Content Agent

What Experience we’re looking for!

Our QC & Mastering Manager will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of Post Production workflow, delivery specifications, and have experience in managing a technical team of people.  They will have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of ScheduAll and an excellent knowledge of Avid will be essential in this role.
