We would like you to bring your experience and technical knowledge to work alongside our Guarantee Vision Engineer, Head of Engineering and Head of Production with our 8 and 16 camera OB trucks, studio, flypacks and remote production solutions. With both traditional Sony camera channels and cinematic multi-camera Arri channels and IP solutions, you know you will be contributing to some truly great projects.
The role will encompass, but not limited to, the following areas of responsibilities:
The role will include on site rigging and operation of all types of broadcast and IT equipment and at base at base, help in planning, prep, loading, maintenance and organising of equipment in the warehouse, including PAT testing.
Experienced in operational and broadcast engineering based role, you will have a solid understanding of the principles of video and audio transmission as well as broadcast monitoring.
You should have demonstrable experience of engineering with knowledge of systems such as cameras, switchers, routing and control and keen to further your understanding of IP routing and switching, cinematic cameras, 4K/HDR workflow and IP contribution and delivery. Familiarity with Ross Ultrix, EVS, Grass Valley vision mixers and RTS comms an advantage.
A relevant engineering degree (or equivalent) would be advantageous alongside the experience you have gained working as a broadcast engineer on OB’s.
This is a full time role based at Vivid offices and warehouse facilities near Woking/Guildford.
Please note due to the nature of the business, this role involves shift work to cover weekends and late nights, sometimes at short notice, for which time off in lieu will be given.
This role will involve handling/lifting heavy equipment, working at heights and you will need to hold a valid driving licence.
