Archivists at Gravity Media are an intricate part of our operations. As an Archivist, you will be working closely with all other departments of the company as well as carrying out your own essential tasks in the Archive department. You will be able to work as part of a closely knit team while also being able to work on individual tasks as and when required.

The role will require you to assist our production department and clients in sourcing the material they need, the logging of archive matches, footage research and client liaison.


  • Match and content logging on our MAM logging editor.
  • Administration, data entry and labelling.
  • Assisting with ingest of digital assets into the MAM.
  • The logging of tapes into and out of the library.
  • Locating tapes in and around the library and other company buildings.
  • Travelling to and work from other sites as necessary.
  • Dealing with client and staff requests (in person, by email and on the phone).
  • Working in a standalone capacity and as part of a wider team.
  • Assist with routine Library housekeeping tasks when necessary.
  • Other duties as and when required.


Adhering to our company H&S policy and ensuring that all company risk assessments are observed where applicable to your role, taking ownership of improvements and escalating concerns where necessary.


Contribute to the continual improvement of our management systems to ensure compliance with our legal obligations and maintain certification.



  • No specific qualifications required other than good competency in English & Maths.


  • Good knowledge of football, teams, players, and competition structures.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Basic knowledge of a library management system.
  • Basic knowledge of EVS IPD/MAD software is desirable.
  • Knowledge of video codecs and container formats beneficial, but not essential.


  • Previous experience in a similar role desirable, but not necessary.
