DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Technology department is charged with establishing, monitoring and maintaining information technology systems and services to enable business users to carry out their roles efficiently, productively and securely. The department must stay at the forefront of technology change in order to meet multiple business requirements, provide secure IT infrastructure and proactively support C4 strategic growth opportunities.
The Commercial Technology division is responsible for the strategy, requirements, delivery and ongoing support of the products and platforms that underpin our Commercial outcomes (such as CRM, sales strategy/effectiveness, revenue forecasting)
JOB PURPOSE This role requires an experienced Solution/Technical Delivery Manager who has worked within end to end delivery teams, overseeing varied technical activities (such as design and integration) in support of solution delivery. The role will require coordinating integration activity between internal and external parties.
Responsible for and maintaining the technical solutions, such as integration platforms.
Working with business stakeholders, architects, business /system analysts and developers to elicit, challenge and validate needs and requirements
Define technical plans and establishing process to catalogue solutions and end points.
Coordinate the technical delivery activities between teams and/or suppliers and third parties
Chair technical meetings on scope and design alignment
Plan and manage the design, development and releases across the solutions and multiple verticals within technology.
Develop overall technical strategy for Commercial area in partnership with architecture and other functional leaders and stakeholders
Seeking guidance from and providing input to the appropriate C4 technical governance groups in the production and acceptance of technical solutions, including input into making any key architectural decisions
Ability to work across multiple concurrent initiatives and ensure that complex and wide-ranging business needs are met through technical delivery across inter-related projects.
Able to assess priorities, gather information and make pragmatic decisions and ensure the support of these stakeholders, balancing the demands of the business with the challenges of delivery within time and budget and technology constraints.
Ability to work with senior business and Technology stakeholders and operate in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.
Work with Operations and suppliers and escalate any production issues for swift resolution.
Full line manager responsibility and activities with multiple direct reports.
Reviewing and keeping documentation up to date and accessible.
Keeping abreast of tools and technologies to provide guidance on industry trends and best practises.
Planning and insuring software solutions are up to date.
Adopt additional tools upon request.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Demonstrate a proven level of experience leading a team that work with internal and 3rd party stakeholders delivering technical solutions and integrating systems.
Experience in acting as a technical solutions manager managing a combination of onshore and offshore resources on projects from 6 months to 2 years plus.
Proven track record delivering technically complex, enterprise level software development projects ideally in a media
Come from a hands-on delivery background with experience in processes and integration tools including Mule ESB.
Experienced in co-ordinating integration activity across a number of systems
Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
Self-starter who can work collaboratively with a diversity of supplier, third party and internal C4 teams
Experience of working in agile (notably Scrum) project management methodologies
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Understand the capabilities of AWS and Docker platforms and use of them.
API testing, particularly REST applications.
Understanding of mocks and stubs for testing
Exposure to CI/CD
Experience implementing and championing an end to end software development process
Experience with enterprise level .NET solutions
Experience working with Oracle database solutions
Experience using Workflow, APM, Elk tools
Experience in Addressable Linear Advertising (ALA)
Appreciation of online adverting’s and Video on Demand would be beneficial
