4Studio is Channel 4’s digital content studio, set up to focus on social marketing, revenue generation and to create digital content to reach young audiences across social platforms. Since its launch in 2020, 4Studio has driven C4 to become the No.1 social channel for 18-34s and the No.1 channel for branded content across social platforms. Working with like-minded, bold brands taking them into culture while producing and distributing innovative content that resonates with viewers and delivers for brands.
4Studio has ambitious growth targets across the next 5years; it is a key pillar of the Future4 strategy which focuses on digital growth. We are looking to expand the commercial team with this role to cement our market leading position


The 4Studio commercial team are responsible for driving revenue across Channel 4’s social platforms through branded entertainment and sponsorship. 
The Content Executive will provide vital support to their Content Manager and Content Lead to ensure existing deals are being managed and delivered, whilst also contributing towards their team’s revenue and creative output

We are looking for someone passionate about selling social branded content, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a sales or media agency side role. This role will suit someone with a start-up mentality, who is passionate about social and who wants to be part of a team dedicated to bringing in social revenue at Channel 4. 

  • Grow socials revenues for Channel 4 by supporting CL/CM in selling ‘create’ and ‘sponsor’ branded content (social branded content + social sponsorship)
  • Proactively pitch the Social Branded Entertainment slate to media agencies and brands with support from CL/CM
  • Support CL/CM with responses to agency and client briefs to deliver best in market social proposals
  • Support CM with social sponsorship decks and packages across patch
  • Work with the wider sales team to collaboratively to grow social revenue, champion social branded entertainment, ensure social is proposed for all relevant briefs and maximise the potential revenue to Channel 4
  • Attendance at all internal patch meetings and cross department meetings to report back to the team on leads and relevant info 
  • Post-sale process includes status meetings, campaign booking, supporting creation of deal terms, contracting, invoicing, internal and client kick off meetings, as well as PR for campaign 
  • Work with strategy and media team on reporting and PCAs for campaigns 
  • Develop meaningful relationships and build long-lasting relationships with agencies and key clients (important to focus on content and social teams)
  • Bring innovative ideas for both content and revenue opportunities on social 
  • Keep up with industry/market knowledge through media owner or agency relationships to help inform the ongoing 4Studio sales strategy
  • Create high impact sales decks and collateral such as newsletters, case studies and ad hoc agency updates 
  • Support CL/CM with relevant ad hoc tasks
  • Always adhere to best practice for social branded entertainment campaigns
  • Excellent commercial acumen 
  • Sales / media agency experience is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills incl. time and project management
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently to ensure deadlines are met 
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and excellent team player
  • A passion for the social media landscape across all platforms
  • An understanding of branded content on social
  • A creative mindset 
  • Capability to self-prioritise, working effectively without supervision
