Job Description

Location: Newman St, London

Overall Job Purpose

The Marketing Coordinator will support the development, implementation, and performance tracking of UK marketing campaigns for Picture Shop, The Farm, Ghost VFX, Formosa and Picture Head. The role will be focussed on creating daily social media content and campaigns across owned platforms, and assist with events, video production projects, award submissions and promotion, press and project coverage, and general creative marketing to elevate brand visibility, support talent and clients, and drive business growth. The role will also involve some administrative responsibilities, such as raising PO’s and setting up new vendors.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Social Media:

  • Generate daily content for social channels using scheduling software Hootsuite and graphic design platform Canva.
  • Assist with creative briefs to social media agency to produce templates and graphics.
  • Co-ordinate with sales, production, and creative teams to identify projects to promote on social media and to keep project trackers updated for visibility in the UK, US, and Canada.
  • Work with postproduction talent to help build their professional social media accounts in line with the company’s best practices.
  • Quantify success and efficiency of social media campaigns and social engagement.
  • Obtain client/studio approvals to enable promotion of key work on social channels. 

Website:

  • Assist in maintaining website(s), updating projects and talent information on an on-going basis. 
  • Request regular website traffic and SEO reports from web-agency and share reports with wider team.
  • Help co-ordinate photography shoots to keep imagery fresh and current on the website.
  • Help draft blogs and collate content for the website.

Email Marketing

  • Using Mailchimp to create email templates for internal and external communication.
  • Co-ordinate with US team to ensure UK updates are included in global email campaigns

PR:

  • Help manage award submission process for postproduction artists (e.g., BAFTA Craft Awards, RTS Awards, HPA Awards etc.)  
  • Assist in project promotion and press around slate of key projects in collaboration with Senior Marketing Manager and PR agency.

Sponsorships & Events:

  • Assist with event facilitation for internal events, partner events, conferences, and festivals.
  • Assist with branding and communications, making sure brand guidelines are followed and copy is approved for paid ads or email communication.

Video Content Creation:

  • Help create show reels, ensuring content is regularly updated.
  • Assist with creative development of content to promote key work, capabilities, talent, innovation, and themes. E.g., Behind The Scenes Videos.

Admin Support:

  • Work with Sales Co-Ordinator to ensure talent CVs are updated.
  • Manage invoicing and payment requests such as raising PO’s and setting up new vendors for payment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, marketing, or communications preferred with 1 to 2 years of experience in marketing.
  • Proficient in social media marketing and management across all social platforms with the ability to generate creative social media ideas and facilitate campaigns. Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, etc.) preferred.
  • Outstanding organisation skills and meticulous attention to detail; must be able to thrive under pressure.
  • Good design skills required; understanding of image/video; basic ability to update photos & reels; Photoshop and Canva experience a plus. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; previous creative copy writing experience a plus.
  • Familiar with CMS web management platforms; experience Google Analytics; proficient in Microsoft Office. Basic HTML skills a plus.
  • Familiar with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.
  • Must thrive in a team environment, but be able to take initiative, and work proactively and independently.

Other Duties:

  • Cover for absent staff in the team within the remit of the job accountabilities.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects and administrative tasks that are relevant to the operation of the department
  • Attend relevant training identified to ensure duties are performed efficiently
