Head of Operations:

 

Windmill Lane Pictures Ltd. is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to join our team in Herbert

Street, Dublin 2.

 

About the role:

 

The Head of Operations will be responsible for the day to day operations and overall smooth running and strategic development of the Post-Production & VFX Departments at Windmill Lane. The primary function of this role is to ensure that all departments work efficiently together, maintaining the highest technical, operational and workflow standards & practices, and stay on schedule and within budget.

 

The ideal candidate must be extremely technical and have a high degree of understanding, knowledge and experience in post-production and VFX workflows & technologies as well as Post/VFX industry dynamics. The role requires a drive for creative excellence, efficiency & productivity and value for money, making recommendations for and instigating change, improvement and efficiency on an ongoing basis.

 

About you:

 

    Deep understanding of post-production & VFX workflows: know the process in detail, staying up to date with the efficiencies and productivities that can be achieved through constantly changing technologies and work practices

 

   Experience in project planning, budgeting & scheduling

 

    Experience in Post-production/VFX environment covering workflows in premium level Film, TV, VFX & Advertising sectors

 

   Process improvement and change management skillsets

 

   Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines

 

    Ability to motivate people to embrace the benefits of processes, systems and change to delivery efficiencies and productivity

 

   Must be proactive, a problem solver, and fast-on-your-feet thinking professional

 

   Multi-tasking skillsets and ability to prioritise conflicting demands

 

   At least 3 - 5 years’ experience working at this level in Post/VFX or similar industry.
