  DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Sales Operations team is responsible for the creation and delivery of maximum revenue across all delivery methods of viewing across C4’s Sales portfolio. 
The team is required to deliver exceptional levels of service to Sales and our customers, in addition to conceiving and executing innovative methods of creating value through systems, working practices and new trading opportunities.
The Ad Tech Team specifically is responsible for the management and delivery of the ad systems and technical deployments across our Linear and VOD portfolio of products. Working closely with IT and their team, the team delivers new and optimises of existing sales products across C4 sales’ platforms both proprietary and with 3rd parties.    
  Channel 4 is an innovative broadcaster that relies on its technical solutions to provide cutting edge products to advertisers. The continued convergence of its sales products and overlapping systems means C4 need to continue to innovate and adjust its technical products to continue to lead the market in the linear and VOD ad products.

The Ad Tech team are responsible for the management and updating of the systems used across the C4 sales team. This role is to support the entire sales team with specific issues as well as enhancements to the sales systems, both internally and externally. The team is the conduit between Sales and the Information Systems (IS) team that manage the system from a technical point. They are responsible for ensuring that priorities for develop are specified in order to meet the needs of Sales, and also to achieve the strategic objectives of the business. Managing project progress, working through blockers and enabling rollout to Sales for so many different projects, mean that the role can be incredibly varied and offer huge opportunities for individuals to develop in both project management and technical skills. 

As well as day to day management of the platforms, there is also more future facing activity covered by the team to bring enhancements and efficiency gains to the sales process and drive more value for clients. This role will involve both operational as well as strategic elements of product ownership as well as supporting more senior members of the team.
  • Liaise with various teams across Sales about day to day operational system management including the main proprietary system, Stellar, and any 3rd party systems
  • Be able to provide guidance or ensure issues are escalated to IS support team using relevant ticketing system
  • Analysis of system performance, working with IS to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner and with the relevant priority level based on business impact
  • Work with relevant teams in IS or Sales Operations to analyse system usage and areas of focus to drive improvement
  • Support senior members of the team in documentation such as training guides, project updates and requirement specifications
  • Assist team in Stellar training for wider Sales teams.  Organise and facilitate training sessions and provide support
  • Oversee current system administration tasks such as account set up and privileges setting up users on stellar, granting of privileges
  • Proactively identify areas of operations which could be improved via automation using various tools
  • Accountability for Product roadmap and delivery, providing timely updates as part of wider Ad Tech Programme of Work and use of Project Management Tools
  • Experience in TV sales/airtime management
  • Knowledge of TV industry processes and key elements in both VOD and Linear
  • High levels of numeracy, excel and technical awareness of systems and workflows
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal, presenting to small groups
  • Curious and comfortable with adapting as projects evolve
  • Able to work to deadlines and under pressure
