What will your job look like?

We are looking for a Social Media Executive to join our lean and energetic Marketing team. You’ll have experience fully managing multiple social media platforms in a fast-paced B2B environment. You’ll be central to raising our corporate brand/profile through the creation of all social content to engage and interact with our target audiences. You love the media and technology space, and you will relentlessly strive to make Vubiquity an influential and valuable contributor to the social conversations taking place within these industries.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Complete ownership of all corporate social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter & Facebook)
  • Responsible for social media strategy, planning, content generation, execution and analysis
  • Curate, create and edit a variety of social media content posts, including blogs, articles, GFX, videos, GIFs, animated graphics, etc.
  • Ensure consistent tone of voice for our brand across all social media activity
  • Create and manage a calendar to plan and track daily social media postings
  • Daily monitoring of industry-related news stories to source relevant content for posting/commenting
  • Research industry-related topics and data, as assigned, for potential content creation
  • Define the most important social media KPIs
  • Maximize followers and engagement on all social channels
  • Manage DMs, comments and interactions with followers in a timely manner
  • Generate reports with weekly/monthly activity, with ability to measure effectiveness and turn into actionable insight
  • Monitor competitors’ social activity and determine areas of opportunity
  • Explore, test, and stay current on new features of our existing social platforms
  • Determine value of potential expansion to new social platforms, if appropriate (e.g. Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram etc.)
  • When requested by Supervisor, carry out ad hoc tasks as needed, such as Event support and other Marketing Team projects

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter & Facebook) within a B2B environment
  • Knowledgeable about current social media trends, best practices, and technologies, and self-driven to explore new techniques
  • Highly skilled at creating and executing non-paid social media campaigns
  • Highly experienced with social planning and activation tools (e.g. Sprout Social)
  • Proven background of creating a variety of compelling social media content/assets
  • Outstanding copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience executing social media advertising and paid social media campaigns, including performance monitoring and budgeting (please note: paid campaigns will not be part of initial strategy)
  • Experience using social media monitoring/listening tools to analyze data
  • Knowledgeable of the digital media and technology industries, such as video service providers (OTT, MVPD/Cable, Telco, Satellite), content owners (Studios, Networks etc.), VOD/EST, etc.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and planning skills to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated, focused and comfortable working independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with peers and executives
  • Proactive approach to identifying and preventing/resolving problems
  • Experience with graphic design software, such as Photoshop or InDesign, with a strong eye for design
  • Experience with common Microsoft office applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
