We are seeking a Broadcast Support Engineer, to provide support to the various broadcast facilities operated by NEP Connect and its clients.  Key duties include:
  • To assist with in-house broadcast project and installation work
  • To carry out first and second line support to all broadcast areas
  • To keep the Head of Field Operations & Support/Broadcast Support Supervisor/Production/NOC Staff appraised of the status of any issues, as appropriate  
  • To log all faults and irregularities and pass information between shifts
  • Performance of preventative maintenance as necessary
  • Ensure system documentation is up to date
  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry best practice
  • Oversee external contractors e.g. UPS maintenance teams, electrical safety teams etc.


  • Electronic/Electrical & Broadcast Engineering background, a minimum academic standard to HNC/HND level of qualification, or equivalent
  • Good understanding of communication systems including mobile and fixed links (terrestrial and satellite) Understanding of IP technologies
  • CAD skills
  • Knowledge and experience on component and board level fault finding on Broadcast systems
  • Good understanding of video and audio broadcast systems
  • Experience in at least some of the following specific technologies: Avid/EVS, production switchers, broadcast cameras, AV routers, audio mixers, modular infrastructure “glue”
  • Experience of IP and Net Insight Nimbra networks supporting NEP Connect services and associated technology
