Salary/package  - Up to £33,000 plus plus 20% shift allowance 5% Bonus

Location  - Arqiva MCR – Crawley Court - Winchester  

 

 Role Profile  

You’ll be an experienced engineer willing to work on 24/7 12 hour working shift pattern of 5/5/4/44 days and nights and be able to perform and cover a cross section of duties within this fast paced MCR environment. You’ll be providing your individual contribution to this multi skilled fast paced 1st/2ND line customer support environment/team, providing day to day operational and troubleshooting duties.  

 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Complete planned works and maintenance on the full range of systems and networks within the operating environment
  • Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects through the provision of technical advice, installation and commissioning support and service transition Implement upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks ·
  • Maintain accurate records, documents and reporting of actions taken Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and customer requirements · Contribute to the continuous improvement of operating policies, processes and procedures Engage with customers and build positive working relationships
  • Supervise the delivery of 3rd party suppliers and contractors to ensure that specifications and standards meet Arqiva requirements

 

 

Must Haves  

  • To be highly organised, accurate and with attention to detail 
  • Strong communications skills 
  • Computing skills, including a general understanding of WINDOWS/LINUX operating systems 
  • To be able to demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of Coding & Muxing 
  • Able to work well under pressure 

Might Haves  

  • Experience of systems and equipment relevant to role such as RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks (desirable)
  • To be able to demonstrate knowledge of the end to end process of a TV service 
  • Previous experience in an MCR and Coding & Mux environment  
  • To be able to demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of Coding & Muxing. 
  • Previous experience in a Playout environment desirable
