BFBS is looking for Programme Planners to join the TV Content Programming team. We’re the ultimate aggregator, providing the best of UK television to our unique audience of British Forces’ and their families overseas.
You might have a scheduling, acquisitions or production background or be new to the broadcasting industry. Either way you’ll be passionate about TV programmes, know your Netflix from your Amazon Prime Video, and be confident in using your knowledge alongside data and analytics to make editorial decisions on the shows that are engaging audiences in the UK.
As part of a small team working across both our linear and catch-up services, you’ll be involved in a variety of activities including gathering series metadata and images, scheduling programmes, issuing EPGs, adjusting licence or compliance information, and planning our promotional campaigns, both on-air and on social media.
This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, currently working from home, but we are moving to hybrid flexible working. With this in mind, you should be able to work from Chalfont Grove 2-3 days a week.
We collate and publish metadata for over 40 television channels, so you’ll have a can-do attitude, be able to work to tight deadlines and have excellent attention to detail. You’ll be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint) and be eager to learn how to update data and schedules in our content management software (Provys).
