WORLD LEADERS IN SPORTS BROADCASTING.
REAL PEOPLE. REAL STORIES. REAL DRAMA.
Host Broadcast and Live Sport Production
FilmNova has built up decades of experience in large scale, complex Outside Broadcasts that rely heavily on RF and bonded cellular linked sites. Originating with road running and open water swimming we have produced the Great Run Series including the Great North Run and Great Manchester Run for BBC Sport since 2012. In addition to the BBC, we are producers of Para Sport for Channel 4, including the European Para Swimming and Athletics and Superhero Tri. We also include rowing and triathlon in our portfolio of Host Broadcasts and in 2021, we provided host broadcast coverage of the Olympic Rowing & Canoe Sprint, Tokyo 2020 and for the World Triathlon Championship Series and Professional Triathletes Organisation events. In 2022, our HB work will include additional international events for the PTO, as well as the Men’s and Women’s Boat Races for BBC Sport.
Story is at the heart of everything we do and in addition to live sport, we are also long and short form creative content makers. We have produced Champions League and Europa League promotional trailers for UEFA since 2017 and the recent heritage lottery funded cinematic documentary Great North: A Run, A River, A Region. Other documentary commissions include Champions League Defining Moments and Underdogs for UEFA, England’s Grand, an England Football Documentary for ITV1 to coincide with England’s 1,000th match, as well as the acclaimed cinema release Football Manager documentary.
FilmNova is a division of the Great Run Company. Founded in 1981, the GRC is the UK’s biggest mass participation sport business. Over 250,000 participants take part in GRC events every year, including flagship event, the Great North Run.
